Are you a Financial Aid Applicant thinking about Study Abroad?
Any student who wishes to use Financial Aid to participate in the North Seattle Community College Study Abroad program must come to the NSCC Financial Aid Office at least three months prior to their departure in order to complete the necessary application (FAFSA) and other paper work.

EARLY IS ALWAYS BETTER! Students can begin the FAFSA application process in January of each year and for priority consideration no later than April 15th of each year. There are other documents to be submitted in addition to the FAFSA and these documents need to be completed and submitted to the Financial Aid office by April 30TH of each ear to meet the priority deadline.

Students who are awarded grants, scholarships or tuition waivers can use these funds toward the Study Abroad program as long as the credits the student earns will apply towards the student’s degree or certificate at North Seattle Community College. In most cases, regular financial aid will not cover the total costs of the Study Abroad program and students are urged to research other scholarship opportunities.

Please review the information about the Study Abroad program that is provided by the NSCC International Student Program Office as it will help you determine the estimated costs of the program.

The NSCC Financial Aid office can assist you with questions on the FAFSA application process, types of aid that may be available and estimated amounts.
