No, it isn't. You have to earn 12 or more credits to maintain your F-1 status. If you have attended and earned more than 12 credits for three quarters in row, you are eligible to take one quarter vacation in the U.S. (You can have a vacation in your home country at any time.)

You should submit the Application for Degree, Certificate or Diploma form at the Credit Evaluation office at the beginning of your final quarter. You can get the form at the Registration office or at the International Student Programs office.
Come to the International Student Programs office. We have a list of places that you can apply. You will be looking for part-time hourly employment. You are not eligible for Work Study jobs. It can be difficult to find a job, but it is not impossible. It is important to keep checking with the department that you want to work for.

That depends on two things: your interests and what your future goals are. If you would like to transfer to a university in the U.S. or elsewhere and earn a Bachelor's degree, you should enroll in an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science program here. If you would like to gain skills for a good job in your home country, you might like to study in an occupational certificate program.

Seattle is a large city, but it includes a lot of nature as well. You will see lots of trees, rolling hills, and water along with skyscraper buildings. The public transportation is efficient and easy to use, and there are lots of restaurants, and activities like ice skating and movie theatres near the campus. NSCC is close to a major shopping mall.
This is easy! Call or come by the ISP office to find out about our scheduled activities, join the I.A. (International Association), ask us to arrange an American conversation partner, or join a school sport. More options may be available, come and ask us!

Each individual must pay the cost of any medical appointment or treatment, which is very expensive. In fact, those costs are even too much for most Americans to pay right out of their pocket. Therefore, the insurance system is used to manage those costs. With insurance, you would only need to pay a small portion of any medical appointment or treatment out of your pocket.
F-1 visa holders are required to have medical insurance while in the U.S. Students can buy an insurance policy through North Seattle Community College. However, if the student prefers to buy an insurance policy from a company in their home country, the student must have coverage equal to the NSCC insurance policy.
