About
Why choose NSCC

StudentsLocated in the international city of Seattle
Our campus is in the city of Seattle, home to Microsoft, Boeing, Amazon and Starbucks.  Seattle has been voted one of the most livable cities in America.  The mild climate, friendly people and beautiful nature make Seattle an ideal city to study in.

Safe Campus
Our campus is ideally located in a quiet, safe, family residential area.  Students can visit a large shopping center that is 5 minutes away or go to downtown Seattle in 15 minutes.  This provides the perfect combination of a quiet, natural campus to study in but close to downtown and next to a major bus route.

Great Place to Make Friends
NSCC has over 290 international students and over 6000 students on our campus.  It is a great place to become involved in campus clubs such as the International Association or the Drama Club.  The International Programs office also organizes activities for students such as camping or bowling.  This is a great way to make new friends, explore Seattle, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Washington state.

Supportive Environment
NSCC has an International Student office dedicated to helping students succeed in their studies and adjusting to their life in Seattle.  The office has full-time staff ready to help students with any questions or assistance that they need.  There is also a housing coordinator to help students find the homestay, apartment or roommate that is perfect for them.  Finally, there are many students assistants in the office available to help students with any questions they have.  NSCC organizes events with universities so that students can meet with representatives from different universities and determine the best place to continue their studies and get their Bachelor’s degree.

Tutoring

NSCC is a Leader in Higher Education
NSCC has been providing classes to international students for over 30 years.  We have top-quality instructors, including 5 Fulbright scholars.  The Seattle Community College District has the largest number of students transfer to 4 year colleges and universities.

Attending NSCC Enhances Lives
Students meet people from different countries, experience a new culture and food, and learn new subjects.  This allows students to grow and learn through new experiences in the USA and the immersion of American lifestyle.  Students with a degree from an American university also have a better chance of getting a good job in their home country.
